Gapless audio playback

  • When streaming audio over a network share, it would be nice if the player pre-loaded the next song in the list to achieve gapless playback. Some albums are meant to be listened to with no seams and it can be really annoying to have those gaps.

  • @timothympace

    Yes !!!

It would be very very nice.
I'm using nPlayer to listen to my streamed iTunes library (with UMS by the way on Macos) and the gap (that should not be there) between songs is annoying.
Otherwise, nPlayer is very cool !

    Thanks

  • Still not there !
Think of it, guys, it's a pity to listen to music with these gaps :-(

  • Hi. Just wanted to add my voice to this feature request. Implementing gapless playback would be an audiophile's dream come true! Thanks

I just want to precise that gapless audio is not implemented, even when listening to local files.

  • Gapless playback is the uninterrupted playback of consecutive audio tracks, such that relative time distances in the original audio source are preserved over track boundaries on playback.
